you might want to realllly double check how to run the asset.dat thing, i recomend you use the assetcachebuilding thing that came with the MODSDK kit EA gave out, you can download it from www.the3rdage.net, try using that asset thing to run it because it does sound like an asset problem, and using this thing EA made its a lot easier.
