May 26, · Now Dr. Kartik Ayyer from the Max Planck Institute for the Structure and Dynamics of Matter (MPSD) has conceived a new method to image much smaller biomolecules to a finer resolution than has been possible until now, by combining certain materials to the particle being exposed to the laser – either gold nanoparticles or 2D crystals.
